MADISON (WKOW) – Residents of Madison seeking help with their financial problems due to the COVID-19 pandemic can contact a new, free hotline to be put in touch with a “financial navigator” – a person they can contact. talk about their financial problems.
Financial Navigators are available free of charge to provide advice, over the phone, to deal with loss of income and other financial issues they may encounter.
The City of Madison was among the first municipalities to receive a grant from the Cities for Financial Empowerment (CFE) Financial Navigators program in May 2020. The one-year grant of $ 80,000 provides operational support, training, education and support. technical assistance and access to the data infrastructure to be administered. program and access up-to-date information and resources on pandemic-related policies.
The City has committed to operating the hotline for one year with the possibility of continuing services if the need persists.

You will be contacted within 48 hours, Monday to Friday, by a financial browser to start their personal session.
Callback times are Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Telephone support sessions will last approximately 30 minutes.
Financial navigation sessions are available directly in English, Hmong and Spanish, with ASL and other languages ââavailable through the city’s interpretation services.
